Today’s topic: Liquid Nitrogen & the Science of Cold
What is cold? How cold is “cold”? As part of the demonstration we will show the science behind dry ice and liquid nitrogen, and how you can make ice cream with them.
On Science Wednesdays, we open our science labs in Flavia Hall from 12 noon to 3 p.m. Everyone is welcome to drop by for a few minutes while eating lunch to learn about some bit of science.
These short demonstrations are very casual. Feel free to ask questions! You’ll be amazed at what you can learn in just a few minutes.
