Portland Summer Ensembles

Portland Summer Ensemble’s chamber music workshop for strings, piano, woodwinds and French horn, gives students the opportunity to play, study, and perform chamber music with other committed musicians at an advanced level. Some intermediate level students are also accepted. Students receive instruction in practice and performance techniques, and other activities designed to enhance the art of chamber playing.

Directed by Jun Iwasaki (Artistic Director) and Karen Wagner (Artistic Director, Woodwinds), faculty includes outstanding musicians from the Oregon Symphony. Offered in partnership with Metropolitan Youth Symphony.

A limited number of need-based scholarships are available. Scholarship applications should be submitted with the full application by January 30.
