Effective Strategies for Leading a Successful Group
This continuing education workshop describes how to create a viable group by following 10 group readiness steps. Addresses meeting individual needs while attending to the therapeutic properties of the group and stages of development. Participants will learn new ways to link group therapy approaches to clients’ learning styles.
For licensed professionals seeking continuing education. One CEU. Accepted by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) as 10 CE hours.

How to register for Continuing Education:
- Apply online as a Nondegree Applicant.
- Fill out the registration form using the course number (AT 020 A) then fax or bring the form to the Registrar’s office (located on the main floor of the B.P. John Administrative Building).
- As an admitted non-degree student, you can create what is called a Marylhurst One account, which will give you access to your course schedule and tuition due. Once you log in, click on the “Registration and Finances” tab. You can access “My Schedule” on the upper right side of this page and click “My Finances” to access CASHnet and your student account information and payment methods.
