Danielle Deulen & Chloe Caldwell

Marylhurst Reading Series 2016-17

Prose writers Danielle Deulen and Chloe Caldwell read from their recent books, The Riots (University of Georgia Press, 2011) and I’ll Tell You In Person (Coffee House Press, 2016),  respectively.

Danielle Deulen‘s first collection of poems, Lovely Asunder (U. of Arkansas Press, 2011), won the Miller Williams Arkansas Poetry Prize and the Utah Book Award. Her memoir, The Riots (U. of Georgia Press, 2011), won the AWP Prize in Creative Nonfiction and the GLCA New Writers Award. Her second poetry collection, Our Emotions Get Carried Away Beyond Us, was published by Barrow Street Press in September 2015. She currently lives in Salem, Oregon where she teaches creative writing at Willamette University.

Chloe Caldwell is also the author of the novella Women (SF/LD, 2014) and essay collection Legs Get Led Astray (Future Tense, 2012). Her work has appeared in Lenny Letter, Vice, Salon, The Rumpus, The Sun, and half a dozen anthologies. She teaches creative nonfiction writing in New York City and lives in Hudson, New York.
